Edinburgh, Scotland it is!
The train ride was relaxing and drowsy. We slept a lot of it, and had a nice little lunch from the groceries we bought last night.
The dorm/hostel/whatever we're in tonight is nice. We get to do free laundry except pay for detergent. The rooms are like dorm rooms but fresh clean rooms, linens, and towels---2-3 showers and bathroom small things for the 6 rooms on our hall only. Impressive...not too bad price I guess at 90 pounds tonight and 80 for each Sun and Mon night---heh.
Well, we are limited in time of course on this internet thing, but I'll comment quickly.
There's a different feeling here than England--neat, creepy, mysterious, cool, goth kids (weird), amazing buildings and castles all in town, less busy. Can't wait to explore all day tomorrow and relax these days in Scotland!
Very Gangs of New York huge old buildings differently structured than London or Oxford---very League of Extraordinary Gentlemen like. Apparently, there's a major past history of ghouls, gobblins, murders, hangings, and other such creepyness, plus underground catacombs and an underground old city also.
I recommend coming here for sure if you're thinking of visiting Great Britain.
There can be absolutely no telling of my true opinion of these British Isles until I go to Ireland though, so hold your breath. For a year or three on that verdict.
A Scottish peace out to yous!
