First of winter pics! (see below for a very brief update on life lately)

Check out some creepy moose eyes! The mom and baby moose were so, so close to our front porch but the dark of evening obviously smothered my 3 foot camera flash a few weeks ago!

Garage full of firewood for this winter; shed half full for next winter. Wet and melty snow lately, it reminds us of Ohio...slop roads.

Good 3 day week at school, and very limited parent teacher conference action for me. I got a lot of good organizing done for school and bball though!

We've had snow, more snow, and some light snow today. I'd say about a foot or 10 inches are around us. It's almost comfortingly cozy and refreshing. Let's just be honest: it means basketball is here!

The shed is up and quality in heighth (sp?) and shelter for snow. I will now cut this post short b/c my laptop battery always goes dead in 7 minutes! WHY!?!?

I will go take a pic of the shed though and post it later today! Happy weekenders to you and yours!

Just finished our 5th straight week of school with no breaks at all, all regular school weeks.

And now.......next week we get 2 days off (parent conferences), Halloween always makes for a quick week, bball, turkey time, and Christmas with lots of bball travel excitement! HEATING UP! Poop time! (sorry to use such fierce language - inside video game joke)

I've been obsessed with fundraising for our trip, and more so, getting gear ordered for the season! WOOHOOO!! LOVE GEAR shopping! Like travel gear, warmup gear, travel bags, practice clothes, etc. Fun! But I keep forgetting this isn't a college team, I can't get them everything..

Speaking of college and my DC bball book - it literally has not snowed in Willow yet. Not one flake! Just iced over ground. The snow I saw the other day was deemed not legit (b/c I saw it at school, not Willow - my home, my writing domain - HA!) in starting my writing regimen. I know what you're thinking, Mary come on - but no you just wait! Writing shall be flowing soon and I might have some of you looking at it (final product type enjoyment) within the winter!

That's super fun to think about! Here's hoping you're all well and enjoying the 2007 fall!

Saw a snowflake today....

Time to start writing.....

School, young life, and bball consumed almost every single second of this week. TOO MUCH! 60-22 was the score of one of those things. Yeah, the combined score of freshman vocabulary tests. Real good for about 1/2 the fall league scrimmage, then fizzle. Haven't taught them anything yet, what's to expect?

Friday night - if you can stay awake from working too hard all week- can be a great, great evening to expand the relaxing part of the creativity in the brain. Then I fizzle....

There were two moose in our yard for an hour this evening. The same two that woke mom, casey, and I up with their alertion (not a word, why not?) to our DOGS BARKING LIKE CRAZY! Want me to post the black night pictures of the moose so you can't see them?

THE SHED is basically done. Tomorrow we secure more firewood and place any and all either in the garage or under the shed (pic to come).

Fizzle, but patience is the theme of tonight.

Current play list:
The Night Starts Here - Stars - over and over and over again
Sons and Daughters - Decemberists
Dejalo - Rilo Kiley
Hope for the Hopeless Fine Frenzy

much, much more random browsing of dad's music hand off

HOORAY FOR THE WEEKEND!!!!

Had a nice sleep in this morning to 8:30! So glad I didn't stay collapsed until noon beyond. With my morning I ran around the mercilessly busy Wasilla shopping world 40 mins. from this household. I picked up some pizzas for the Ohio State game, some dog beds (they better not eat these ones...), and some more lumber for the shed build.
Bo for sure, isn't into his new couch bed, HA!

All gone a bit sour and yet still fun......The dogs don't really like the beds, yet? Found out Ohio State is not on our broadcast this afternoon. So we're just chillin inside trying to decide if we want to go back out and try the shed again. It's all equal in measurements, but we think the base posts are off. Good learning experience at least.

It is a nice, nice weekend though! The rest of the time, I plan to organize newly combined office (no need for two spread out offices as before), and work on some basketball coaching stuff: program goals, rules, and responsibilities for other coaches. Everything must be spelled out for everyone, especially the children.

Here's a few weeks old pics of the parents chillin in Willow!

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Been real busy this week, and it flew by.

We're settled back into accepting regular work life (as the parents left), but with a side of real life shed making. We put up the back posts/rafter ceiling. Saturday we will do the second and third row of simplicity posts, as our confidence is building.

Currently, this second, I am sampling Rilo's new one. Much respect and quality of course, yet the verdict is up in the air for style and lyrics.....not sure yet...

It is good to give thanks to the Lord...

It is good to watch the hour long office episodes. Last week was funnier!

Crispy, sunny fall days are upon us, yet quickly slipping as every other day it is super grey sky snow looking all around us in the mountains...hmmm...

Just slept 5 hours this afternoon, don't you know. Looking forward to one of the last free weekends (and building the rest of that shed). Hope yours are truly London Regent Palace kareokee like!
