let's see...

The Jeep sort of died. Check engine light on, violent shaking, and noises, currently sitting at the school parking lot.

The truck had two flat tires, got winter tires sooner than expected due to that.

It was one of those longest 4 day weeks ever! Inservice Monday was long and only a tiny bit helpful.

I'm having a midlife attitudinal crisis in this career :) :( :) But God is good and there's too much else going on in the world, and in people's lives I know, to be discontent.

Hope the anniversary parents had a great time! Thanks for marriage and parenthood of examplehood!

Pizza to eat! OH YEAH IT'S FRIDAY and I'm getting into football and baseball lately. bye bye now

The question is...will we see Thank You Christina?

I've seen half of TZ #2....guess we'll find out :)

Good to see some Bruce blog! Go for that Baseball Heaven book!

WHOA! Bo is going crazy, maybe there is a bear outside. We'll not find out. Okay.

Just bought an anorak! OH YEAH! $5!

Feelin’ this!

I did something dangerous 5 minutes ago….I put Nat King Cole’s Christmas album on!!! Ahhhhhh!

The air is very crispy and the trees are half dropped and half yellowing and oranging the ground. WOW! Never knew how much I have missed this! It is a comforting feeling. Something that I just can’t imagine not growing up with, or living without. It just encompasses family and feeling and love, memories, and warmth. Fall, football, food, weather, warmsyness, Christmas anticipation...

Okay, okay, it’s only September get a grip on that cheesiness!

So, it was an interesting week. School was school and it’s getting settled in….I think. We (Case) had to stay late Thursday night b/c of an open house. It was a long night, making a dragging Friday! BUT! We got a good recover last night with sleepy cold weather and rest!

On a side future note, I found out that I get to teach "Cinema as Art" for my 2nd semester of an English elective for upperclassmen. Awesomely, a lot of upper classmen doubled up on English and won't even need that Cinema class, so hopefully it is a small class.

I'll probably show old, classic films, decade by decade up to some more recent ones, but we all know how ridiculous some films of today are, and there is something called, "Rated R" that shall not be permitted, per se. Either way, I'm pumped for the class and might need to contact several of you for ideas.

Anyways, on the way home that Thursday of open house it was getting pretty dark with a little duskyness to it. All of the sudden!!!!!!! A moose appeared in our lane! Huge, tall, and with skinny legs. I barely saw it because our lights just shown on his legs not high enough for his body.

Luckily Casey (the driver) saw it and braced for it. The moose quickly scampered into the on coming traffic, who in my opinion did not even see it. It was only a miracle they didn’t hit the moose and floop it up over to us. WOW!

Also the other day we saw a cute skinny puny moose in a construction company’s huge parking lot just feebly standing all scared. There was about 2 cars stopped to take a picture (HA!) and a highway patrol was there to usher it back the woods 300 yards away. Such a Bambi like moment for that baby moose. Neat!

Side bar: We have 2 flat tires on the truck - the Jeep now serves us!

Well, I’m going to do some Ireland and Christmas research online, and later we’ll go to the property to hang out. They’ve had a black tar sealant on the concrete foundation the past few days. Other than that, we wonder what’s next…..

Gotta go get some teriaki chicken and steak with rice + the same thing but with sweet and sour! Casey the chef! WOOYEAH!

Just when I thought I'd see and heard it all......

There was an alien on The Dukes of Hazzard tonight!?

Why is there always an alien or demon possessed some sort of an episode in every show?! i.e. Guiding Light, Days of Our Lives, V, Alf, you know the rest.

And secondly,

Ever heard of a Willow Billy? Have I mentioned it yet!? HA! It's the term for people who live in Willow b/c it's a boonie community - hillbillie.....Willow Billy..... Two of my speech students admitted and proclaimed Willow Billyhood and informed me of it's terminological existence. Alrighty then. Both hilarious and distrubing. I'm into it.

We have a well drilled and water looming far down below. We yelled echoing obscenities down the open pipe today. Hope to see some house framing later this week, maybe.

Earl was enjoyable tonight, predictable, but burst out spit type of laugh on some.

Office was quality as ushz. The secretary lady was hilarious!

It's already Wednes. tomorr. gotta start shortening words asap sarr marr jar car star ttul lol yeah uhhuh ok come on weekend!!!!!!!!!!!bye bye

Random Thoughts:

School for 2 weeks was up and down with positivity. Your basic out of summer blues. Then back to hard working hours.

Lots of grading tonight, actually not overwhelming :)

Absolutely no respect to Kanye West. Can't stand him!

Seriously considering making 2 small quilts for Katrina victims.

Mike's new song: superb clarity! Better than original Suf song.

2 Bruce blogs! WHOA!

Fall colors galore. Pure blue sky today.

I'll try out Monday for a night of shows to watch and/or the Office night too.

Property worked on till 8:00 P.M. tonight! We'll have to see it/take pictures tomorrow...sadness to my excitement.

New Log Cabin magazine today! AWESOME!

Gotta a way cute Caleb picture today! Thanks Michelle!

SNL now! The weekend is still going! May it last and last!

Yeah, it's sharp and sleek black with a tight pink armband. Light and cute and easy to run with!

Nano. I must have you!

Had a good day of Speech class lessons. Just something I came up with in 5 mins. with group work and everything. Let these few sentences serve as a reminder to the best lesson plans - they come from procrastination and from literally 5 mins. of prep./5 more to type and whaahhla!

Had a good din din of Arby's and here's a better topic:

OUR HOUSE HAS A SEPTIC. So Casey and I took turns using it tonight. It works well. Jk.

Yesterday it was a huge gapping hole and now today the septic is in with the dirt smoothed flatly over it. NICE!

Casey has been going gaga about all the birch lumber we get to keep from our land clearing. He found out today that we can take it to a certain lumber yard and they treat it, kiln dry it, and formulate it into wood floor tung and groove planks! These birch wood floors are rumored to have an absolutely beautiful finish and extreme wear, tear, durability.

In addition to that, Casey looks to build a smoke house, outdoor bbq, log shed, small log cabin and so on. There are many teachers who work construction in the summer either for real or for themselves.

As for Mary's brain: I must start an adventure race club and events.

I must. I will. I hope.

There's something called "Push, Paddle, Puddle" race and it sounds so cool! I haven't looked it up yet, but it involves cross country skiing (push), kayaking (paddle - like perhaps on our Willow Creek which is often canoed), and mt. biking (of course peddle). SOUNDS SWEET! Gotta find out more!

By the way if I haven't mentioned this really officially, there are paved biked trails all along the Parks Highway which offer enjoyable hills, clean easy riding for 35 miles and back! AND THE SIGHTS ARE AMAZING! You go up and down through the forest a bit but you are near the highway (still safely) with civilization. I know I've mentioned biking before, but today in the sunshine it was especially beautiful.

Matt and Tracey (and Santa Cruz'ers) remember 65 miles of biking!??!?!?! OH MY!??

Everybody eat more greens! That's my last second thought for the day! :)

And so I must sleep now. bye bye

Oops, I just accidentally ordered a new black Nano!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOO!

Okay, sorry that was untrue, but not for long I hope. So weird that I was just thinking about my pinky mini, but then just today I see my Nano! OH YEAH! And Casey saw it before me and alerted me to it!

Oh yes, it will be mine.

Regardless of when we get into our house, I want to.......

Celebrate Christmas an extra month with:

a (real) tree, decor, leggo train around that tree, Nat King Cole, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Finding Neverland, Enya, Jingle Cats, crackling fire, hot chocolate, robe, slippers, large plasma tv, comfy recliner or couch, lots of movies, popcorn with melted Reeces Pieces in it, and, and, and.

Oh no! Oh yes! I am catching Christmas fevor in early September!??!?! HA! I'm already looking online for Christmas gifts...I am?...yeah sort of...ideas keep coming about but there is trip to Ireland to think about.

Okay, okay, let's just wrap up a plaid box of Kleenex (new) and call it a day together! It is my thinking that we should do Christmas in July in Hawaii starting summer 2007!

I think the weather change is getting to me.

More Friday brain spilage below....

TGIF!

Good to see blog frequencies tonight!

Katrina is poop. So sad, so unreal, so far away from Alaska. Me want to help.

Michelle nice on the Wake Up lyric fun, oh yeah!

Knock on wood Indians!

Hilarious blog lady Justin. She's all hoppity skipta mah lou! We have a Willow librarian that you might love to secretly video tape. The lady (our Willow town librarian) is out of control too intelligent for her own body, weirdy. Absolutely hilarious. Maybe someday you'll meet her.

"Hello librarian, this is Justin."

"Justin this is librarian lady."

So, Mike are you aware that the online version of the BG News had your quote as this?

"JW: What was the hardest thing you’ve had to do so far as a band?

Mike Edwards: me likey beardy"

Nice scruff face! Looking forward to hearing some albums - same genre? Will you write any of it? Looks like a fun new band on the rise, wish I was hitting Howard's this weekend! Well, not Howard's per se. Have you and/or Justin thought of opening a venue? Buying/renting a building downtown and running for shows only, not bar sicka smoke-a? That'd be sweet! It could double as your studio and production company....hmm...

I have a student named Chevelle Bottom in my class everybody!?! NOT KIDDING!

Well, her actual real name is not that first name so I can't get sued for online-ness (right?). But she wants to go by that name, and it's a real last name.

Our house floor plan is actually roughly staked out in our forest. The Black Knight's forest. Again, I have pics - so putrid not to - WILL UPLOAD THIS WEEKEND!

Gonna spend some fun time rating my mareBook iTunes Collection, then listening to only the highly rated ones on random. Now that sounds like fun! Seeya!

Concrete to be poured Monday!

Beck's Guero album is pretty catchy. I keep hearing several songs on the radio, and I'm into it - already have the album compliments of the San Diego brother! Get it if you're wanting his querky, yet beboppy singy fun songs, quite melodic is spurts of fun.

But, really to be honest, J's new album is way more fun to sing to. qual-qual Just!

A Homecoming Friday is pretty chill-y set up for me tomorrow. Pep rally taboot, let's just call it a week. Really though this 1:45 p.m. out letting is great! I do have to say my days are......long and then it's lunch and only one more class :)

Mom, the house news Dad promised you'd report on!? :)

Mike, I like your new song. Mellow, down to earth, yeah earthy is what comes to mind as a descriptor. Makes you want to admit you're human and praise the High One. Not the "great one" which is what the natives call(ed) Mt. McKinley. We're talking the only One.

Well, the sun is slicing in through our bedroom windows now as a more normal fall sunset is becoming the routine. Must rest and veg the rest of the night. And guess who brought home a whole briefcase bag of "stuff to do" tonight.

Won't touch that! HA! I love that - just stop bringing it home!

IT'S THE WEEKEND EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!

OUR NEW HOUSE NOW HAS BROKEN GROUND EVERYBODY!

Our house plot and area has been cleared of trees and brush and flattened out, dirt padding, for it's concrete foundation!

YAHOOO!

I really want to send some photos, in addition to other ones of our schools' outside appearances, but alas I am lazy and do not like our PC anymore (yahoo dumb no compat for mac pics). Thanks for the iBook though Dad! Love it! ;)

So, we have an odd shaped piece of land as in it is shaped like a huge triangle. We were shocked about where our builder did the clearing, but after further review it looks to be in the center of the triangle with room to add on and still have the forest scenary. It's neat to see it from day one either way :)

We are most excited too about having a medium to large garden! It is guaranteed to attract bratty moose stealing the veggies! So we'll shoot one, we'll shoot two and call one "mine" even though Casey will have to shoot it probably. This is all next year b/c we aren't "residents" until next summer and the hunting license is only like $70 as opposed to the $400 this year. OUCH!

Well, it's into our 3rd day we go!

It's been a fast, fast, speedy two days of school. There are shortened class periods, announcements, interruptions, office ladies needing specific attendance counts, and to top it all off it's their Homecoming week!

Tomorrow is Hat Day, so I thought I'd wear my hair in a bun b/c it looks like a hat.

The football team has already had 3 or 4 games in order to make it through a season with only a few games in that weather.

As far as the actual days of teacherness, I was a little overwhelmed after day 1 which was directly reflectant of "the brick wall syndrome" called, "I sat around all summer doing whatever I wanted and now this full force deal of chaos and people and bells and students and curriculum." Ahhhhhh!

But no worries my people! It was a great 2nd day, and a great 1st day for that matter! Just have to get used to........being a teacher..........again. :)

Twas the night before that one day we've been waiting for...

I'm feeling good and ready. It'll be a good day. A good year. So, it's all good in the brain at this second.

Here's a few "did ya knows" (just made that line up :):

Did you know Bo runs on our treadmill and loves it? He goes fast too, 5 mph, but with no incline. I could beat him, on treadmill only though. I only ran him 10 minutes tonight and he kept stepping back on it later wanting to run more.

Did you know we have to get up at 5:30 A.M. (5:45 at the very latest) in order to make it to work on time?

Did you know we get out of school at 1:45 P.M.!??! OH YEAH!

Must unwind more and get some sleep!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Hope your trip home was safe and fun!

Looking forward to talking to you when you're home!

Did something on a whim this afternoon!

I downloaded The New P’s and Death Cab’s new ones.

Spent the rest of an Itunes bday gift cert. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Always heard good things, never took the time, dollar, or chance on them, but I'm really into being a bandwagoner after all their other music. Death Cab’s is really good so far (in the middle of downloading still)!

And, well, okay, should I?

Yeah I guess I’ll put it out there…..

I downloaded Hilary Duff’s “Wake Up” single too…heh, heh, heh,…swoopa. Couldn’t be helped, it’s too fun of a song to not play whenever I wanted. I know, CHEESE!

Welp, watching Shang High Knights and relaxing. Just an in our rooms work day tomorrow, should be chill and easy.

HERE WEeeeeEEEeeeeeeeee GO!
