"Grilled Cheese Flavored Lance Crackers"

"suspiciously winning a game of catan"

Guess from whose blog?

Imagine going to the Carnivore and ordering a grilled cheese. That would be funny!

Listening to my “intoApril” not very original new playlist title, I am typing at home for once. It includes such good singles picked out thus far from buku music pile up de beegee excursion: neko, shout out louds, triplets of belleville sdtrk., david crowder, equation…..too many others to list.

And then….I’ll take this blog to school necklacewise to post for your viewing pleasure a la Tuesday, March 28!

Since we got back from our wonderous familytime, it has been blurry work type of existence, as you boringly would assume. BUT WITH A TWISTY TWIST!!!!!!:

ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE! It has been 40-45 degrees all week and weekend, allowing for beautiful walks up and down our property line, mostly the highway side. If you try to enter the woodsies you take one step and sink down into a foot of snow, and then in another step you sink down with snow at your waist. NO JOKE! And not just for midget’s heights like me; you should see the dogs go for it! HAHAHAHAHA!

3/4th’s of our first Alaska teaching year (well my first year here at least) is ABOUT OVER!!!!!! With that brings crazy amounts of grading and scrounging students and teachers for that final 3rd quarter grade showing.

On to better news! THE ITINERARY is unfolding before us (Tracey, Matt, and I) and includes such goodies as Italy (Rome, Pompeii, beaches, Milan, Venice), into Switzerland (Alps and Zurich by train – oh wow, I just heard that statement for real just now – BY TRAIN YES!), onto Dublin from Zurich’s airport, IRELAND FOR 2 WEEKS, and then Scotland (Edin, Glasgow), ending in London for a couple days.

There you have the gist of the trip! I shall continue praying for safe travel.

Speaking of safe travel: THE PARENTS – Afff and England! Awesome! I’ve been spreading the word (again) to my colleagues and students about my intrepid parents (term stolen from dad?)! In fact this week my cinema class is being subjected to The Gods Must Be Crazy, The Power of One, Hotel Rwanda, and Millions! Africanesque!

Oh, on Saturday we had a curtain/special blind lady – not blind lady – come over and measure our regular and not-so-regular windows for light blocking shade. It was fun and expensive sounding. Sure we could do our own regular windows, but our great room requires precise measurements and appropriateness in rarity. That was interesting to have a visitor.

I’m telling you, visitors to your house……A NEW CONCEPT TO ME! Good and weird, weird b/c we are in the boonies I think. A first home. Ingenious! Hospitality, weird goodness.

Secondly Saturday (alliteration there), a dude came out to analyze our water and he was here way too long. It was interesting like a lengthy science lesson, that I didn’t really want to be a part of. Something good and different was his “feeling comfortable” to witness to us “quote” unquote that. He is a good guy and all, and gave us some insight into many, MANY of the churches in our area north of Anchorage here. That was interesting.

He encouraged us to find a church, sure, yes, but more cool was his delving into this advice: blend the Lord with sports! He does/did Christian hockey camps, etc. That was a good word from the Lord that I’ve heard a many these past few months. Common sense, oh it’s the simplest things we hear at certain times.

So go into the world and mesh and blend your talents and your world with His gospel! YES! We each have our role, be yourselves and live it up! And as I type this I think of my parents’ witness and example in their gifts! Ah ha! YES! Good, good.

“…..standing in a circle of quiet…..waiting for the world to turn….” – Over the Rhine, no relevance just a good song

KEEP GOING FOR YOUR DREAMS ALL YOUS, whatever they are!!! A few of mine are books, FCA, Ireland!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!!! 22! YEAH!

OH MAN!

Finally, I can breathe...online. I have a few thoughts that would best be expressed by the inner monologue of Bugs Bunny as Gossamer is getting his big red furry Chewbacca hair cut....

HA! I just made that up for no reason and inspired by Molly Shannon's Mary Catherine Gallagher. Just trying to say I have better thoughts than these that follow but the public libray scene does not enable creativity (?). Need to bring my necklace, my thumb, my pen disc that dad gave me to save info and post later.

Yeah thumb disc....that sounds weird, but a teacher said that this week. I call it a necklace memory stick!

So I'm at the Willow Public Library and little children and googling and giggling around me as I wish I was in my own home.....oh well.

The trip home was very nice and once we got used to the 4 hour time difference of course it was time to come back.

I'm thinking of my brothers' show tonight and I'm excited that they are and have been back into music the last year or so! In addition I'm super pumped of all the new music I was dealt while at home and through matt's delivery last week.

School was quick and each night it was sleepy heads! Our bodies don't know when to eat! My stomach is always growling, but that's good practice for this summer's EPIC EVENT of IRELAND, Italy, Switz (could it be wrong and so lazy to not finish that country spelling.....just spent 34 words explaining that...)

SCOTLAND AND ENGLAND! WHOA! WOW! It will end up being about 5 and 1/2 weeks of exodus. We shall be different people when we return. We shall. God is good! God is up to something! Always! Where did you meet Him today!? My meeting was through a Culligan type dude checking our water for iron levels and purity.

He randomly let God speak through him today about life, liberty, and the pursuit of sports and sharing the Gospel! YES!

Well, that's the end of my random slough of thoughts. Hope to be back soon!

So much blog worthy material to report. So little shut eye had.

Seriously. Serious. Whoawee! Next week, this week?, at school is either going to be the most hilarious week ever all things silly. Or the worst most tiring week ever. I suppose both are attainable on purpose as the following quote from Gramps hints:

"If you're going to go looking for all the bad, and negative (in any circumstance) you're going to find it. If you're going to look for the good, you'll find it too." So why not look for the good. Short and sweet, to the point, simplicity. Choice!

IRELAND!

IRELAND!

More to type on the flight home and hopefully post in Minneapolis, otherwise necklace diskette to school as I reach for some barings Tuesday morning for 80 minutes lesson plan period time!

And to all a good night. Good night and good luck. Cheers and Wyder's!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!

Why does our culture do the following?:

"Brangelina wedding rumors spread in Italy"

WHO CARES! And why do they have to mesh names...........well I guess my email address is a hypocritical irony.....but still.

So Defiance.

Defiance, Ohio.

A wedding to enjoy some family and food!

Only a few days left here in Northwest Ohio. Lots of money spent on shopping to be justified by soon to be house bill payments to equate our status to LIMITED entertainment of such caliber.

Right now, Neko Case, and enjoying all my new music! It shall take me into the Ireland reality of June I do presume with how much I received, borrowed, and bought.

Chit chat is good in bits and pieces of a spring break trip to your hometown!

Bits and pieces. Itty by bitty.

I do enjoy the thought of calling Alaska home. And the reality of it, not just the thought of it. Such goodness. An existence of refreshment and coming alive!

This spring break at home is just the spring board needed in general, and in Alaska mindedness. I am not ready to get back, but I am willing to get back. Well those words are a circle talk of unclarity but in my head they sound right! HA!

On Monday of this week, did I report?, I hung out with Kim (Miles), and then later with Wulff and Jane! AWESOME! Good old friends, good new life convo! Need to call Mavis now, soon :)

Oh and shan't I not mention the amazing bball games at the BGCA gym Tuesday. Good bball played by all! Reunion! And mom came along to hang out and enjoy the company too. Fun! Three old videos of 1995 watched already, more hilarious later or just take them home and make DVDs! YES!

Two things I just remembered: Isolde Hannan

and

MOM and DAD's HOUSE BUILDING IS IN PROGRESS!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

330 a.m. bye bye now

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!

As you walk through the living room I type this! HA!

It's good to be home and see you celebrate another good one!

Hmm....

So much.......or shall I say too much.....creativity around me that I look at "my blog" and think. DISGUSTING!

I think of my writing ideas and bla bla who-yeahs sitting around in my mind or on little bits of paper and still keep thinking.....DISGUSTING representation of enjoyment.

Enjoyment for me or others. Just puke.

Feeling inspired or ruined in attempts to get to it. Hmmm....

Bball done. Yes, let's go!

A bit busy minded - at least - well schedulewise too presumably! It's been fun!

Mom, Dad, and I went to Defiance today to play some bball at Defiance Junior High for Tommy's first of two bachelor get togethers. And to brag again.....

Casey sent a sweet alley (h)oop pass to Dad and Dad caught it in the air and scored the bucket! SWEET!

Anyways, right now Mom and I are watching Boys and Girl from County Clark back in BG. It's an Irish movie about a traditional music festival, relationships, music, love, humor. It's not bad. Not bad at all. Neat to see the Irish countryside and all.

Before that we watched Triplets of Belleville, an animated French movie. Interesting, clever, weird, good, and requires special attention to enjoy. Almost no talking throughout. NICE!

So I'd been wanting to watch those and here we went with Spots for dinner.

Well, tomorrow is vegetable soup, shopping with mom, raquetball with dad, to Union bookstore, Kim Miles hang out, as well as Jane and Tricia, and the midnight show of Mike's with him and J! AWESOME!

More music recollecting and reporting later this week. Good times and thanks for joining it today!

Getting hooked up with pop culture (music and movie knowledge) so that I may properly soundtrack our trip home here!

It was a solid trip down south here to some brown, flat landscape and overcast sky. That doesn't overtake the goodness of being HOME!

The first day of drowsiness out of the way, let's live it up with beegee fam for 5 days and then Defiance for 5!

Let the festivities begin! And I won Clue tonight!

Three mins. till pray time with colleagues.

God is up to something, as usual, everywhere! Ahhhh!

Talk about my job getting cut happened again yesterday...extra unwanted stress.

One more day till Anchorage plane time! All packed besides little bits here and there and few pick ups in town.

Beyond excitation.

Excite Bike. Karnov. Hudson's Adventure Island.

We're watching Willow in my Cinema as Art class. The class is going well, but I wish there was more resources not created from scratch - then I'd do more in depth studies!

There are these tinkerbell little people called Brownies in Willow. I was surprised and laughing so hard at this movie having forgotten how funny Val Kilmer was. The students love it!

One more help out of practice tonight and it is finished! Unless they win this weekend, which they could!

I must

break ....away!! :)

A great weekend, that is gladly over!

Basketball has ended. It has? We ended it in style with senior night and goodbyes and yeah yeahs. Exhaustion is slightly underlying and shall be disappated by early to bed this week.

We spent all day Sunday with our new buddies who have 5 kids and their oldest is on my bball team. They are a neat family! WOOYEAH!

Good morning!

Last night my JV team lost to Seward, yet our "C Team" won...so that was good.

The other coach is an abominable lady. One to dispise. One who insults our intelligences. Last time we played them, she played her C team against my JV and yelled at us for making the mistake when we questioned the scheduling, etc.

Well, she got the best of me for making it to my blog. But that is the last of the bitterness! YES! Victory over grudge!

One more practice today, one more game tomorrow!

Looking forward to spring break BIG TIME!!!

Nothing else to say, b/c I'm super tired. Good and tired.

Going to our new friends' church Sunday!
