We barely won our weird game versus the hill people of Su Valley!

Yes, Lothar was on their team. A girl named Lothar. These people are peculiarly in their own world of down home living and lifestyle. Hard to explain...you'd know exactly what I mean by seeing the players, coaches, and school building. And that's 2 ugly wins in a row now! We'll take 'em!

We had a good time at the bball party hosted by us. It was a good and a bad idea to hold the party on a Friday night of a long week because we were all tired by 9:30 P.M. Let's ponder for a moment how everyone had been up since 5:00 A.M. for school the same day.

I had some fun things planned but all of the sudden it was late afternoon and there was no more planning time. So the party consisted of hanging out, movie watching, spaghetti eating, and music burning. Good times!

Saw Elizabethtown last night. I wish the last 20 minutes were 45 minutes or longer. ROAD TRIP! Yes, good music! The ultimate gift of scrapbook, music, and road trip encouragement!

I/we also half watched Dukes of Crappard and Brother's Grimm last night. Yeah, we've been giving our local video store our 3 bucks a pop lately.

MOST IMPORTANT NOTE OF THE DAY HERE: One week from Thursday we shall be in our Ohio hometowns!

Back to Ireland email reading on my lunch break! Man, Sun Chips are good in any flavor!

Tonight Colony High School (mascot: knight, colors: green & black, comparable size to BGHS) will host.....

THE REAL COACH CARTER!

HA! The real life coach dude from San Fran who forfeited his high school's bball games b/c of academics etc. that's who! He'll talk at Colony tonight for free and afterwards they will project the movie for all to see.

The children of Houston basketball shall attend after a short practice.

And then tomorrow night we shall host the JV squad to spaghetti, desserts, and hang out whatnots. Yeah, it's the end of the season basically, with next weekend being the last of it!

Ahh, Eisley Room Noises. It reminds me of vibrant sun shining Chowchilla as we blurred our way out of that world into this Alaska. Remember that FCA rally and cheeseburgers on the sweltering and blinding bleachers mom, dad, mike-o?

I was telling Casey this morning that it seems like we've been in Alaska for years. Like we know others and others know us like it's been years. Nothing bad or good in that, just an interesting insight from our world up here today.

There's good people here; we are well received glory be to Him.

Figure on house pics and DVD by spring break my friends...OHIO TRIP! Looking forward to this small list of tentative itinerary in the rare poetic form immulated from this month's lessons:

DQ & Mr. Spots
Target & maybe cots?
Last 1040 venture
New house will soon be an adventure (ha, rhyming?)

Krogers with moms
Defiance with toms
Wedding and birthdays
Traveling in a maze

To Detroit, BG, and Defiance
Can't wait to see 1040s new appliance
Good people from the past
It will all be a booya blast!

That's all I got for ya @ a very early 7:33 A.M. mind boggle!

Monday morning: INSERVICE TIME!

Boring and nice to not have students for this Presidents recognition day!

On Saturday the team o' mine was the only team to win of all 4 girls and guys teams. Yet, it was an UGLY win. We'll take it.

Only 2 weeks left in bball, a little bit of varsity prac. help, THEN WE'RE HOME!!!!

Slowly but shirley, don't call me shirley, we are settling the cardboard boxes. Items getting a permanent home, whatta concept! WOO!

Next weekend we shall have a small bball party of just my team at our new house and it will be a good end of the season finale type of sitch. WOO! Season almost over! The past few weeks we been on the road so there has been less ounces of breathing available for real life and dream pursuits like Ireland, talking with fam, checking email, you know the sorts.

In other news, the dogs are settled into their larger fencing of a home in our garage and have not been in our house but a few steps of, "oop, oh no, go back, get!" Cuties. It's been really sunny and nice out lately, LIKE SUMMER! and it makes me want to go running with some doggies.

Well, our meeting in the library is starting. Hope to write later and check email once and for all later today in Willow. Peace yous

Thursday morning.....kind of blurry and blobby with busyness. It's a good time to settle down to a blog.

We went to a school board meeting last night and it was intense for the janitorial staff, and really everyone in the district. The board is trying to "outsource" the janitors for random substitute janitors and convicted felons and other funny bad talk.

So an entire gym was full of people to go against this bad decision.

All boringness aside, my high school has to cut one and a half teachers. I might have to be part time, which is pure poop. Supposedly I'm not to worry, especially since the Matsu Valley assembly woman said the valley can give money to the school district. Politics. Interesting. Boring. Takes too long.

Only 3 weeks left of bball and only 3 weeks left until I'm in sunny Bowling Green! It will be sunny right!@? HA! We here have been having 40 degree weather and it has been like summer, seriously!

The house: GREAT! Needs a book shelf, a media cabinet, 4 high dining chairs, a couch, and an area rug. Pictures have NOT been taken, and NOT sent to family, and we are NOT being very efficient about it. Let's get moving Mary!

Ireland flights being researched still, need to chat with Matteo and Tracey soon :)

Hope all your Valentine's Day was wonderous. Miss you all, talk to you soon.

Had a good connection to the brother Mike while reading online today.

These signs: "TOO SMALL."& "FOCHT CONSTRUCTION" & "THIS IS NOT A TRASH BIN."

Also this: Mr. Shuler

We stopped by on the way home from our bomb threat school day of nothing, got some groceries, and are at the Willow library checking email FOR ONCE!

Saw a huge moose butt running in our highway lane this morning and it was hilarious! And dangerous, and we made it through without hitting it. His friend was on the other side of the road too. DARKNESS! Freaky butt!

Rain today. Ice soon to follow in about one hour! Bball cancelled b/c of bombs and weather! Tomorrow bball continues with a trip to Anchorage. :)

Off to the house to settle in more!

Greetings all from my new internet haven of school usage.

I have some moments to take a breath after holding it for the past 2 weeks.

Last week: house drama, stress, upheaval
This week: basketball overscheduling of away games and team drama

Neither, pronounced NIE - THER with a long I sound appropriately. OH NO, that's a sign of being immersed in English lesson plans a few too long this afternoon.

Neither of the sitches above are that detrimental to my spirits of happy house warming. It is a pure joy to wake up and to go to bed in our house. And yes, that is about the only thing I get to do....

But alas it is a pure joy, joy, happy, happy.

I have missed, and am missing, and will miss blog frequency, phone calls, and connection in general for a few weeks at least as we look into satellite/cable internet capacities.

As for phones, if you shall not know yet, we will not have a land line until June. Thus, the pukey cell phone happened to us, and it only works at different times of day at the very tippy portion of our great room and/or outside on the deck. Yeah, 20 below.

Next thing: our "C" team coach up and left (had to) for his prior engagement of working on a southeast Alaska cruise line tour. When they call, he has to go. Point being, I must coach some extra games since he is gone...for extra money.....I guess not...

All in all it is great living up here in OUR HOUSE. When we left the rental the last time Sunday afternoon it was a shocker of YESYESYESYESYES!

Hope to communicate with you all soon! I'm sorry I have not been able to yahoomail or blog for like 2 weeks or something it seems! We have to go the public library to do so and bball beckons the time. It's oddly freeing to have no phone, internet, tv, or even radio besides car.

Odd. NICE!

I do miss you all! Talk to you soon. p.s. pics/video to follow via snail mail

We're absolutely in the house!

A bit of cleaning tomorrow after a nice, big, fat buffet breakfast at Willow Elementary on the last day of The State Winter Carnival!

Good day! Got lots of supplies for the house, laundry baskets, some things, and well that was the only thing I could remember HA! Everything's in piles and whatnots - in my mind too. Oh new cell phone number to get out to you reader.

Right now I have Justin's Phillip Seymore Hoffman picture as my desktop background. AWESOME! It makes me laugh so hard every time. I laugh while pointing at it and saying, "ha, look at this!" to myself though and sometimes randomly to Casey or Bo or Storm.

Looking forward to:

Being settled
Coaching more, yeah I like it
Ireland - need tickets
Ohio - need tickets
Shopping for house :)

Happy super bowl day to yous all!

It was a Friday!

Today was better. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually beat up speaking: it was better and hopeful!

We have everything but 3 trips left to be IN OUR HOUSE! One random side boxes, one treadmill and canoe, one last one for bed!

Our fridge, washer, and dryer arrive tomorrow from Home Depot! WOO! Black kitchen applicances! Bottom freezer drawer, white hugey maytag laundry things.

Tonight the team I am with many hours these days lost by 17 points. Ugh. enjoyable season with the people, horrible skill level......

Well, I'm pretty much excited and ready for a celebration tomorrow in our house! We shall officially live there tomorrow! WOOOHOOOO!!!!

We will be completely out of the rental AND WITHOUT PHONE as of Sunday night after doing our final cleaning to get our $300 bucks deposit back. We hope!

Will keep you posted on contact info/cell phones etc. Oh and of course couch choice info! B/c that's the most fun! We're thinking a sectional now :) Yeah, a sectional! The living room is bigger than we thought. No recliner though......maybe.....

Up early and out of here! Happy weekend to yous.
