Time, where did you go
Why did you leave me..here alone
Wait, don't go so fast
I'm missing the moments as they pass

Down to my knees, beggin' for all your sympathy
You are just an illusion
You don't seem to care
You humble people everywhere

Chantal's new one (#2), w/ some readysetbad-esque piano.

That nagging push on our lives. TIME! If we could only think of the Eternity He's promised us.

I'm always asking for His perspective on things, & it's so hard not to ask for Him to change time, things, and people.

I'd rather see this world, this TIME that drives me ----- as He sees it! A mere blink in His Eternity. Thank You Jesus!

This trip to Anchorage is all about drawing near to Him, with a backpack and the back of the jeep as our home.

The earth as He made it. The simplicity of survival, and the trees of the fields clapping their hands~! WOO!

and oh, I got your words trace, finally getting my links back up! Yeah, rhcp new one, good! A chowtown viz....I'm talking to Casey tonight about it! YES! We're looking to take a day off after coaching.

Plus, we're planning Alaska tonight.

matt you had the most interesting words this evening: Adult Swim posters! ROCK ON! Such hilarity. PADRES vs. THOME! We'll get down there for the paaaads! (someday).

at practice all we did was throw/warm-up, and RUN! No more going down LOOKING, let's hope! 2 more games and FREEDOM! 21 more days of school, and truly freedom!

I think I lost all my past blogs, and my links of course are non-existent. Sadness!

Trying to get rid of dogs.....why can't we make up our own blog template ---color choice at least. :)

No mo' dog beach refs Matt!

DAD, I GOT THE CHANTEL CD THANKS A million quantillion! 5 songs, I already love.

On the windows media player: rhcp's can't stop, D4 get loose...sure, trapt headstrong, the movielife it's something...very brandston or whoever however spellage ---Michelle remember them from cornerstone.

Speaking of cornerstone, are there any of those out here Mateo? And allamericanrejects would be fun!

Fun Tanzanian info daddio! J-- You're ROCKIN' & ROLLIN' now! Mike I'm jealous of DQ! Keep rocking everyone's world with your music.

Mom thanks for the teeshirt backing, now my teeshirt quilt (already begun), or casey's? p.s. I rearranged our office with a couch under the window. Desk still "L" shaped elsewhere. Niiiiiice.

All in all Casey's bday weekend was fun! We had cake at school from some lady, cake here, and with all that cake mary slept 30 hours worth of naps NOT KIDDING, while Casey coached :)

The rest of the week at school is standardized testing where we use Scantron stuff no doubt. I get to do lesson plans though....for what...22 & 1/2 days of school left? YES!!

Trace, but of course to Sequoia ---but I say more so to that andrew whattajeebee place you said. It really hit me today that, OH MY GOODNESS, we're almost done with school for the YEAR! Woo!

Friday, April 25, 2003

Matt I'm pumped for the stripes and elsewhat's you'll spot me. What do you think of the rhcp's new one "can't stop"?

Mike have I told you yet CONGRATS for that scholarship awesomeness! Also, ask dad what he put as #15 and #17 on my burned one this package -------I must hear them everyday......THEY'RE YOUR SONGS MAN!

Found out Casey's parents are coming June 6 - 18 or something. Then (a pushed back) Alaska ----so sadly for sure we'll miss your trip Ryan and Michelle. :( Next summer Bob Barker for sure.

Justin August would be sweet for a viz or early/mid Julyish. Don't plan around us though b/c we're going to come and go to Alaska as it goes.

I'm downloading Crutches finally ----I was waiting for it on DVD for real .....but duh, you said weeks ago it's on your page :)

But I am planning on going down to San Diego myself for a week (.....heehee mattandtrace...) While Casey goes on some fishing expedition with the principal and a.d. of our school.

Love you all! Mom I saw your words! Dad that was a nice blog ---Casey liked it. We won tonight!!!!!!!!!! I have such good kids to coach. have a good one

Wednesday, April 23, 2003

Justin, you might like the Libertines --I'm downloading a few of their songs, and this one sounds like Pedro whatnotish. Called "Radio America". Maybe, maybe not. They need more to sell me at this point.

Matt do you know the band movielife. Just got a couple of their ---normal rock/punk, but fun enough. I would like to burn your white stripes album by the way.

About to get this semi-shady risk of a group called "Stiffed", resembling a far off version of Gwen. Also "Headstrong" by Trapt anyone?

That Trapt group is so everything on any good rock station--redundant and enjoyable for my naked eyeXX----ear. p.s. I finally discovered a comparable 89x here. qual qual on that.

Don't forget a wonderfully, cheesy KLUV Christian radio situation quite often as well. Sara Groves "The Word", ..."and the Word was, and the Word is". His Word, whoa omnipotent. We humans can't take it audible? ---WAY humbling.

Can anybody tell, I've been reading Spin?.....no more tv. Hobby time :)

So we had a good game tonight, 6-0 victory. And I got my first parent complaint after the game. "I understand you wanting to support your daughter". The end.

I need my shirt (that doesn't exist anymore) that I ripped off of Kevin Arnold's dad, "I'm the Coach". Yes! ---haysforhorses

Best entry today from dad! Very moving, and DON'T REMIND ME WE DON'T LIVE just a half hour away anymore.

Sometimes that reality hits me; truly a tender topic of missing you all. Yet, building our own life together (case and I) is grand!

MIKE! Do tell me the music on the end of dad's cd (he sent) is yours! It's realllllllly good.

I was thinking to myself...oh wow this is my favorite song on the bend it like beckham sdtrk....then wait this seems to be Mike (or Justin!).

You guys rock! Have I told you that lately. My brothers that I brag about to my semi friends at work. And they nod, saying "how neat", YET NO! Get a clue people you have no idea the talent in these guys.

And they're my bros! YES! I love being your sister.

Matt ----Crown Him is soooo...good thanks for the memory.

And a laugh maker from Justin: "It's cold, like a warm day in the morning, at night."

"so many cute, fat seals just squirming around" ====such great figurative language Trace! (just taught the kiddies this todayHA!) A+++++ for you. And it was good to hear from you, seems like forever.

I almost wanted to pick up and drive down there the other day and rent a surf board! I want to hike Torrey Pines too!

Also, late---r in the summer we should totally hit up Channel Islands Nat'l Park ---it's off of L.A. TOTALLY AWESOME place in my opinion with no people--- just a couple campgrounds you hike into a couple miles. You have to boat over on a (small fee) service, key word: islands!

Tracey mentioning the fireplace at that restaurant, reminded me of Tahoe Joe's. I don't know if you noticed Mom and Dad but there was a huge fire place behind the front check in ladies that had a huge cobblestone structure and 2-4 openings to the four sides of the restaurant.

I'm just pumped b/c we are going to attempt that large and in charge fireplace idea for our main living floor (when we ever build a place).

Like you walk in the house and there's the 8 foot wide fireplace centrally located.

The actual fireplace way open with a post about 2 feet thick each on the corners, sort of separating rooms. You can see the SAME fire from each room!

But these rooms don't need much privacy separation anyway. Rooms like the kitchen, front sitting room, family room back right corner. The bathroom. :)

Wait, I'm disclosing all our floorplan secrets too early. Secrets? heh okay then.

And why wasn't I an interior decorator? I remember in 9th grade we had a career assessment and according to my "abilities and interests (HA!)" I would make a good interior designer. hmm.....:)

"Someday: incorporation." That's my secret motto, for opposite day meaning. You know where you say something but you want to mean the opposite, so you say "nooo...it's opposite day"...

Like, "oh someday I'll do what I dream..." That's weak!

But we know God is certainly expanding my (and no doubt everyone's) likes, abilities, and interests daily thru "other methods of work".

Often we do hang onto our own ideas and desires (i.e. Justin's one entry). Trusting God completely? Yeah! I'll try that. For real.

This life is so amazingly blessed! I have no, absolutely NO room to complain. Thank you Lord.

p.s. one of the "teacher aides" that we are friends with found out today that she's fired (at the end of the year). Pray for her, she's also having major surgery on her neck too this summer.

Friday's Case's birthday! Nothing special planned. Cake, dinner, a lot of coaching baseball for him. Me not so much! Only 5 games left! Only 26 or so days of school! Woo!

I've been having marathon blogs, right! It's fun, and certainly....we should all take some slower minutes of our day, and read like we mean it.

A lot of the times, I find myself, psycho-ly rushing through each blog page and skimming, and then moving onto the next one.

Stop it! ---that's a quote from either Justin or Mike when they were 3 yrs. old, and we would keep mocking or hitting them. And....laughing. HA!

In conclusion: Stop reading blogs fast. love you all peace

Some real good Plumb lyrics:
"There's a Love overflowing w/ Gladness ... get out of that place that's restraining your love."

Complacency in Him here in Chow. Ringing so true to Justin's deep entry of late.

By the way J - got the Case gift! He says thanks, and that his detroit dream team (All-Star 2004) is really benefitting from the rumble pack on it. HA!

We just got back from the coast, and it was very nice, relaxing and uneventful. The ocean WOW!

Also, we had forgotten that we already explored all this area (Monterey Bay), while stranded this summer with no home yet :)

Dad looking forward to the package! Also, Bend it like Becham is in Fresno ---I'm going.

Yonge and 1040 be watching the mail the next week or two :)

Wednesday, April 16, 2003

hello all, and Justin certainly a huge thanks for reposting that camera (although newer model) info. I bookmarked it last month, and was hoping to purchase with softball money. ----THE BOOKMARK WAS BLANK THOUGH!

HA! So now I will get that newer one YAHOO!

Well, I just finished a 5 day marathon of coaching softball. NO KIDDING! We played Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues (and I count Sunday, b/c it flew by and doesn't count as a break!).

It was all fun, a little bit of rain postponement, but we beat 2 great teams, and almost beat two other really good (big Fresno teams) too.

Next topic, MOM! The cats! WHOA! Good thing it wasn't dead ---maybe the other cat friends warned him and told him to play dead...interesting. And kudos to your saving. Imagine if they are worshipping you in their minds as the "savior". HA!

Justin and mike -----good job on continuing your quality movie making skills AGAIN! So did you win....or was it just a.. something else?

New Plumb cd is very good! I'm jealous of Koufax in BG town. But my assitant coach (23 yr. old) and I have a lot in common I found out this weekend with all the softball.

She's really into punk, NOFX and all that (me not so), but she wants to see No Doubt and has always wanted to, so I told her about my Pontiac, Michigan goings of Stefani-ville. Way cool!

(point being ---now I may be hitting up some concerts with my new friend!)

Something really great, and really hilarious was what one of my players said at 6 in the morning Tuesday (we had to play @ 8 A.M.an hour away!!??!)

About 5 of them got in my school van (no bus this trip), and they're all sleepy headed big time, me too --imagine that!

My best pitcher sits there a minute, sleepy and seat belting, and as I pull out of the school, she goes:

"Miss Sanford, are you a Christian?"

"Why yes I am Hannah, HA! How did you know?" " Well, one time I saw your shirt at practice that said Jesus or something."

"Oh well, I'm not wearing that shirt right now, what made you think of it?" "I don't know". Then she proceeded to lay down and go to sleep.

Later in the day it was brought up again in a hilarious way with her friends making fun of her (just for the out of blue discussing it sleepily), and they kept yelling, "Hey did you know Mrs. Sanford is a Christian".

All very innocent natured and interested littles waiting for me to respond to it throughout the day.

So weird, when you ask God for opportunities for Him to shine in you!

It happens so quick after you really surrender any of "my own witnessing ideas". And who knows what He's doing with something so small like that.

Welp! I'm planning a trip to the Monterey Coast, and dad and mom might call you for info on your visit there. later for now

Date and time unknown,
Towel-head shaped like a cone.
So much softball being played,
We've won two and have it made.
An Easter tournament to bless the Lord,
Near His holy day of sweet reward.

Okay, enough on that cheesiness. Matt and Tracey I want to go to dog beach sometime. Is it named (slangly) b/c of so many dogs there? If so, maybe I don't want to go there :)

Sping break is going too fast guys! Have a great week my friends and fam! Miss you lots.

Some funnies:

Went to the bathroom in the teacher's lounge today, and whoever was next to me didn't know I was in there ---so she turned out the lights. It was fun going "the 1" only, not 2, then feeling the stalls all around till I found the door and light switch.

Donkey Basketball: a tradition here at Chowchilla where a teacher's team and a student's (FFA) team have to ride the donkeys to pass, shoot, tackle, and wrestle the whole 40 minutes game. (no dribbling)

Casey and I were drafted to do this and it was hilarious last night. Donkeys bucking, pooping, sprinting, and being stubborn all night. I fell off and wasted my knee (just bruised). Lots of teachers and students wrestled and pushed each other off the donkeys.

AND THE TEACHER'S WON in sudden death overtime - 26 -24!

Tonight I am playing "Bunko" with the girl colleagues at this school. Might win some money ---it's a dice game and betting. Yet, I don't believe I shall be attending this event more than tonight.

I basically agreed finally b/c they've asked me to "sub (for another player)" twice before. Too anti-social and married I guess :)

Dad, have a safe flight home. Happy pre-Easter everyone! We're half day schooling it right now, with a "motivational" speaker in the afternoon.

TONIGHT GAME AT DOS PALOS (called DP, and rivalish to Chow).

This weekend, I have to help with the track meet, then my JV's have a tournament (4 games). Really busy beginning of break, but we don't have money to get crazy and do anything else :)

Too much senseless knowledge here, I think I accidently thought this blog was my planner book. checkya

Wednesday, April 09, 2003

Dad, it's been way fun reading your daily journal of D.C. I wish I could spend time there with YOU! I couldn't find that Indian movie near us, but want to see it for sure. I'm for SURE going to download some of the soundtrack this weekend.

Anyways, tonight there is no practice, no game, but we do have a teacher's meeting tonight. Then Case and I are getting our taxes done at H&R block.

I should be getting my new Plumb cd today, and we're preparing to be brand new parents to a PLAYSTATION 2, not to a real human! HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAA.

Anyways, we should get the PS2 this weekend or Monday and let the games begin! YES! Plus I ordered Tetris for the gameboy mike & j handed down to us....a little bit of buyers overload on my behalf. So many birthdays is my excuse.

Now a true topic: I've really been seeking God each night before bed. Not taking him for granted and really deflating at His feet.

Mike you're right, "Million Parachutes" is good, and the song right before it reallllllly gets me seeking forgiveness.

Thank God He is always there for us. I'm tired of being a zombie every day. Enjoying life for sure, but not fully and completely in His hand and spirit.

Dryness.

That's what it is. Dry bones, needing replenished by His spirit.

Now that's a true topic.

MOM! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We love you!

Sunday, April 06, 2003

Mom that's a great college picture of you! Happy Birthday Eve!

Here are some quotes I enjoyed from all the mom praise:

Justin: "try to even compare ... a Joan meal to the pig slop I was eating"

Mike: "before I used to wipe my face on the carpet till even now ..."

Mike: "If the Edwards were a quilt, my mom made us."

Dad: "Ever My Coquette" I will look up the meaning of Coquette!

Matt: "you('d) say 'Be wise' ... as if I wouldn’t be wise." so true thoughts

Tracey: "going on mini shopping excursions with you ... just to pick up little trinkets, fabric, etc..." YES! I miss those too!

Saturday, April 05, 2003

Michelle and Ryan I am so happy for you two! God is doing wonderful things for your family! This was the best (cute) quote from your blog: "It (the ultrasound) was so incredible. The baby looked like a baby." That truly is amazing to have a living human growing in you. God bless mothers! How weird!

Anyways, I just ordered playstation two, and got All Star Baseball 2003 with Carlos Pena on it. This for Casey's birthday, yet he just randomly said to go get it now ---so I spilled the beans it will be here in 5 days. (Extra DVD player yes!)

Yet I still really want Sega Dreamcast b/c I want that 2000 game disk of Mike's. Dude! Dreamcast is only 34 dollars on half.com (plus a little shipping).....should I go there?

Does anyone need small ideas for Casey's bday? I'll try to work up a small list of whatchamacallits he may want, and send that around.

MOM! WHAT WAS IN THE BOX!?

Tracey's dad's april fools joke was big time rock-n-roll. More people should get involved with such funniness, and not just on April fools.

Anyone know a good "tennis" game for PS2? I know that one we played at the church (BIG SCREEN AWESOME), was for dreamcast right brothers.....?

Seems like there's more I was going to write, but I forget. And perhaps some peeps are a little overloaded on the blog blab from mare :) It's better than watching tv to me though :)

Oh that's right, on the TV note, I was going to ask dad what kind of package he got for the direct tv. I think I will replace the playstation gift with that for Casey ---he wants to get all the MLB games this spring/summer.

p.s. Casey doesn't check blogs much b/c it reminds him of work, so I feel free to talk about things....I hope..he doesn't at least.

Friday, April 04, 2003

Below, I meant how random that matt mentioned Ireland, b/c just this week I've been gaining pre-trip knowledge myself.

I hope to go next Spring or summer, I hope!

Tracey: really good entry last night. Such a true description of our trip, man I loved that trip too.

Well, I'm in 6th period showing the most annoying slow and dumb "Great Expectations" movie with Michael York. Sorry Yorkey --Dr. Evil.

Horrible puke though, and the students are being annoying b/c they don't like it either!

Sooooooo IT'S FRIDAY AT LEAST! And yahoo, but not to a rain storm last hour and A CANCELLED softball game.

THAT means I get home at 3:20 pm. and have the whole weekend from there! YES!

Funny quote from the movie just now: (really Irish) "Ahhh, meeeee boy"

Speaking of the Irish, how random that Tracey and matt are looking for Ireland this summer.

I just spent 25 cents on a 1973 published version of an Ireland travel book.

So full of history and people talk ----I really like it so far----20 pages in.

Gotta run, kids need a watching.

Have a great weekend yous!

Thursday, April 03, 2003

Found this interesting reading today:

"justin (on suzy's blog): mary's hair was april fools, i was in on it all along! check her page! ha-face! GO LONGHORNS!"

hahahhahahhahahahha.....riiiiiight.

Wednesday, April 02, 2003

April fool's on the hair! hahhahahhahahhahahhahhahahhahaha

(I know you were picturing the hilarity though) :)

Dad's which one is the 8th grade mom?!!?

Tuesday, April 01, 2003

Finally I'm home, and it's wasn't that quality of a day.

I fell asleep on the bus to our away game, and I was so out of it. Really tired.

I took a nap, with my new Sixpence roaring in the ears in addition to the slow moving loudness of that bus driving.

Oblivious to reality, my players had some clippers and managed to cut my hair thing out of my mop hair tied. Then proceeded to cut my actual hair.

I now have bangs.

My hair is about the size of one 2 inches here, 5 inches there, then elsewhere 12 inches like regular.

I was so mad and had to wear a hat during the game. My assistant coach did most of the coaching.

Tomorrow I'm calling in sick, just to figure out what to do about the crap on my head.
